I am so excited to host a natural dye workshop at Bradley Mountain in Columbia, TN! If you have ever been interested in exploring the natural dye world, you won’t want to miss out on this gathering. In this class you will learn the art of eco printing, which is a form of natural dyeing or dyeing with botanicals that leave a clear print of the flower that contain colorfast properties. Not every flower can be used to dye with, but we will discuss some of the most popular dye flowers and why they work. Each participant will receive a pre-mordanted 22x22 charmeuse silk scarf and fresh/dried flowers, and other dye stuff. I will discuss the importance of mordanting fabric and give a demonstration of my process before you create your own unique design! Additionally, you will receive one drink voucher for any Bradley Mountain beer, wine, or coffee drink to pair with a shared charcuterie board.
